大鳴戸事件 1996 Allegation 

さかのぼる事、20年以上前の1996年、元・大鳴戸親方（元関脇・高鐵山）が元大鳴戸部屋後援会副会長・橋本成一郎氏とともに、相撲界に蔓延る八百長問題を『週刊ポスト』で14週に渡って暴露。その後、大鳴戸親方は、八百長などの経緯をまとめた「八百長―相撲協会一刀両断」という｢暴露本」を出版しました。

More than 20 years ago, back in 1996, sumo wrestler Kōnoshin Suga, also known as Onaruto, and his supporter Seiichiro Hashimoto disclosed decades of allegations of match rigging, drug use, sexcapades, tax evasion, and close ties to the mafia in the professional sumo world. Later, Onaruto published his book called Yaocho (八百長＝match-fixing). 

暴露が1996年1月から始まり、4月26日には日本外国特派員協会で講演会が開催される予定だったのに、大鳴戸親方は、4月11日に息苦しさを訴えて急きょ入院。追って協力者の橋本成一郎氏も入院。３日後の14日、お二人共、同じ病院（愛知県豊明市の藤田衛生大病院）にて、同じ死因（レジオネラ肺炎）でお亡くなりになりました。因みに、大鳴戸親方も橋本氏も肺疾患は持っていません。

こんな偶然がありますか？

告発者２人が、会見を目前に、同じ日に、同じ病院にて、同じ死因で亡くなる 確立って、どれくらいのものなんでしょうか？

同じ日といっても、大鳴戸親方は午前4時45分、橋本氏は午後7時48分に死亡しているため、橋本氏は亡くなる前に大鳴戸親方の死去を知ったらしいですが、橋本氏の次男によると、「悔しい」と気持ちを吐露したとか。

しかも、ここまでの不審死にもかかわらず、なぜか病院からは病理解剖を勧められることもなく、お二人のご遺体は葬儀を終えるとすぐに荼毘に付され、｢病死｣として処理されています。

（こういう事が現実に日本で起こっていたのですね。この状況、まるで誰かと同じですね。）

さらに、不可解なことに、八百長問題暴露なんて相撲界にとって大問題のはずなのに、日本相撲協会は一切の対抗措置を講じませんでした。名誉毀損として刑事告訴したのは、大鳴戸親方と橋本氏が死去した後。しかし、告発者である二人がすでに死亡しているので、不起訴処分になり、この件は幕引きになっています。これって、まるで二人が亡くなることを予め知っていた感じではないですか？

Onaruto was supposed to present at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan on April 26, 1996, however, on the 11th, he suddenly became ill and was taken to a hospital. Strangely, the co-writer of his book, Hashimoto, suffered from the same condition as Onaruto did. Three days later, both died at the same hospital on the same day due to the same cause (Legionella pneumonia). Of course, they did not have any underlying lung disease. Do you think it was just a coincidence? According to Hashimoto’s son, his father was expressing his grudge before his passing. The mysterious part is that despite their suspicious deaths, their autopsies were never conducted by the hospital. Their bodies were cremated immediately after their funerals were held. (Doesn’t this remind you of someone else’s case?) On top of that, Japan Sumo Association (Nihon Sumo Kyokai) did not take any action when Onaruto and Hashimoto came forward with allegations of match-fixing but only after their deaths, they filed a defamation lawsuit which was, needless to say, dropped because of the deaths of the whistle-blowers. Don’t you get an impression that the Japan Sumo Association anticipated their deaths? 

で、この「大鳴戸事件」が「千代の富士」とどう関わってくるのか…

実は、この大鳴戸親方の部屋に所属していた元大相撲力士に板井圭介氏（最高位は小結）という方がいて、千代の富士の八百長を暴露されたとか。

板井氏は長年、相撲界で、「中盆（予め八百長をする力士と、ガチンコ力士の間を取り持つ力士）」という役割をしていて、頭も切れ、千代の富士に可愛がられていたそうです。にもかかわらず、2000年1月、日本外国特派員協会で記者会見をし、現役時代の八百長を認め、かかわった20名の力士の実名を公表。暴露本「中盆―私が見続けた国技・大相撲の“深奥”」（小学館）も出版。

How does the story of Onaruto relate to Chiyonofuji? Onaruto had a disciple named “Keisuke Itai” who actually revealed the allegation Chiyonofuji got involved in. For years, Itai had helped other sumo wrestlers including Chiyonofuji with fixed matches, and especially Chiyonofuji took good care of Itai. Notwithstanding that, in a news conference at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan in 2000, Itai identified some 20 match-fixing wrestlers and even shared the story in his book. 

2008年、週刊現代や週刊ポストで横綱・朝青龍らの八百長疑惑が報じられると、相撲協会は名誉毀損で提訴し、板井氏が週刊現代側証人として出廷。証言台では自身の関与を含め、過去の八百長を再び暴露するも、訴訟は協会側の勝訴で終わりました。

板井氏が亡くなったのは、その訴訟から10年後の2018年8月14日なので、大鳴戸親方や橋本氏のような明らかな「八百長暴露の口止め？」と見られる最期ではないようですが、「昭和最後の大横綱」と言われた「千代の富士」にはこういう黒い出来事があったんですね。

私は、他のページで『カネ恋』のガスライティングは、結構な部分で「考えすぎだろう」とか言ってきました。今でもそう思うところもあります。ファンの中には、無理矢理「こじつけ」で結び付けている例もあるので、全てがガスライティングと決めつけるのは良くないと思います。

私は、そもそもメッセージ性まで考えてドラマの小道具を選んでいるのか？と、演出家の仕事を知らなさ過ぎました。インテリア小物から衣装まで、ドラマのストーリーや登場人物のキャラに合わせてテキトーに選んでいるだけか…と思っていましたが、そうじゃなかったんですね。

例えば、『カネ恋』と同じ演出家・木村ひさし氏の作品である『タリオ 復讐代行の2人』のスタッフブログでは、こんな一文があります。

「沢山の小ネタが散りばめられていたこと、お気づきですか？」

視聴者に気づいてもらおうと、小ネタが散りばめられるという演出がなされていたんですね。なるほど。。今までドラマを観る際、ストーリーしか追ってなかった私ですが、「小道具一つにも意味がある（かもしれない）」ということを学びました。

そういうフィルターでこの玲子さんの置物やTシャツを見ると…木村氏は何かの意図をもって「千代の富士」を用いた可能性もあるってことですね。

In 2008, when the Japan Sumo Association launched a lawsuit against Shūkan Gendai, a weekly tabloid magazine, which reported alleged allegations of bout-fixing, Itai testified in defense of the magazine. 

Initially, as I described my honest opinion on other pages of this site, I thought that most of the gaslighting examples believed to be seen in the drama “Kane koi” were overthinking. I still feel that way toward some fans making too many assumptions over everything. I had a lack of knowledge about producer’s roles, one of which I imagined was simply picking all items seemingly appropriate for dramas or movies as well as characters of casts in the first place. I was totally wrong. “Did you notice that there were lots of items displayed here and there throughout the drama?” From the question staff asks viewers in the blog created for another Hisashi Kimura’s drama, we can see that each item (might) have a hidden story. Taking a look at Reiko’s items related to Chiyonofuji from the perspective, Kimura possibly intended to use them for some kinds of purposes.
